2018 - Cyril Kongo
In 2018, the Maison La Cornue partnered with Cyril Kongo, famous French street artist, to redesigned his iconic Château.
For nearly a year, Kongo rethought and reworked 6 Château 150 so that each one would have its own identity representing a city, a country, a region or a continent of the world.
Kongo has marvellously transposed its language and graphic codes to the enamelled facades of the firing pianos, becoming unique works of art.
To underline the uniqueness and exclusivity of this collaboration :
- the enamelled facades were made by the artist himself.
- the stove trims are in black chrome
- the burners in black chrome as well, specific to this collaboration; the classic Château burners being in solid brass
- the two gates have a brand plate with the artist's signature on the left and the 2018 mention on the right of the cooker
One of the works won the AD Grand Design award the same year.
